In the immortal words of Ferris Bueller, 'Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.’
At first blush, especially as a kid, you think these and many more related sayings are just cliches. That somehow life as you know it, with everything in it, is guaranteed. Then, as the days, months, years elapse, you mature and become wiser - through milestone events, through the mundane, through action, through bliss, through pain and back again - and you realize none of them are cliches. They are facts.
Life moves quick and it could simply end without much warning. For you. For anyone in your life.
So do it. That idea you were afraid to voice at work because you feared others would think it absurd? Voice it. That talent you have a fleeting suspicion you possess but have not pursued? Pursue it. That distant place you have always wanted to travel and see? See it. That broken relationship you have avoided mending? Mend it. Those times you behaved poorly, were too afraid, did not make the effort, thought it….apologize, go boldly, make the time, say it.
Don’t miss it.
Don't dream it.
